Bucks have another big win against a quality opponent.

January 14 at the Bradley Center

Bucks 101, Nuggets 91

The Bucks picked up a quality win as they beat the Northwest frontrunners, the Denver Nuggets 101-91, in a action-packed game.

for the Denver Nuggets:

Carmelo Anthony had a solid game tonight with 24 points (8-16 FG, 7-10 FT) and 7 rebounds, but he committed 5 turnovers.

Andre Miller flirted with a double-double with 17 points and 9 assists, but his stats were marred by his 4-10 FG performance.

Backup power forward Reggie Evans had 6 points and 9 rebounds while Kenyon Martin had 8 points and 8 rebounds, but Evans fouled out while Martin had 4 fouls.

The Nuggets were held to just 40% (30-for-75), and only attempted 4 3-pointers, making 2 of them.

for the Milwaukee Bucks:

Michael Redd was the top man again, as he led all scorers with 33 points. He was 10-26 from the field, 3-7 from deep but 10-11 from the line.

Hugh Fitzpatrick had a good game with 14 points and 8 rebounds, despite 5-11 FG, 4-7 FG and 5 turnovers.

T.J. Ford almost had a double-double with 13 points and 8 assists, but he had 3 steals, along with Bobby Simmons.

Jamaal Magloire had just 8 points, but was the game's leading rebounder with 12 rebounds.

The Bucks' bench outscored Denver's 26-21, as Jiri Welsch's season high 11 points and Dan Gadzuric tallied 8 points in the victory.

Milwaukee was 38-80 from the field (47.5%) and was 6-13 from the field, but they were 19-30 from the charity stripe while Denver was 29-38.

Two interesting stats:

The Bucks won the game despite being soundly beaten on the glass, 50-39.

This game was brutal and sloppy as both teams committed 56 fouls (MIL 25, DEN 31) and 30 turnovers (MIL 14, DEN 16).

The Bucks return to the road all this week as they travel to Dallas (1/16), San Antonio (1/18) and Atlanta (1/20) before they host the Bobcats on January 21.
