Spurs 99 Bucks 95
Tim Duncan and the defending world champs were to much for the Bucks as San Antonio won a close one tonight. Duncan had 34 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal and 2 blocks to lead the winners. Manu Ginobili had 19 pts and 7 rebounds while Tony Parker had 17 points and 6 assists. The Bucks were led by Michael Redd and Bobby Simmons, who each tallied 27 points. Simmons was also Milwaukee's top rebounder with 11 boards. Philip "Fightin' Fitzie" Fitzpatrick had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists, but he was no match for the much more experienced Duncan head-to-head. Even though the Bucks out-rebounded the Spurs 43-42, Milwaukee's weakness tonight was committing fouls. They committed 30 fouls, which led to 25 Spurs free throws made, compared to 16 Bucks points on 18 San Antonio hacks.
